I have been an OB/GYN for 25 years, with 21 of those years in practice on the Central Coast. I have worked for groups, had my own private practice, and now work as an OB hospitalist (OB ER doctor).
I love both science and the arts. My undergraduate degree was in English Literature, with a minor in Biology and pre-med coursework. I then worked doing research in genetics and cancer tumor marker testing, as well as volunteering at the Washington, DC Free Clinic and training as a pregnancy doula. I attended medical school at Howard University in Washington, DC, graduated with honors, and completed residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I moved to San Luis Obispo in 2004 with husband and babies in tow, and have been here since.
